Students of Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) celebrated their annual Information Systems (IS) Week

on August 29 – 31, 2017 with the theme “IT: Connecting People, Transforming Lives.”
The three-day event opened with an acquaintance program on Tuesday evening at the School of Business building. The students played parlor games and several students displayed their talents in the ‘IS Got Talent’ portion of the program. A sumptuous dinner was also prepared for them.
On the second day, the department sponsored the Midweek Prayer program at the church. They had invited Mr. Ellis Gold Sunico, an alumnus of the Information Systems department, as their speaker.
Culminating the program of the BSIS students was an outreach literacy program at the nearby Alegria Elementary School. It aimed to equip the local public school students with knowledge regarding Information Technology (IT).
This school year’s IS Week celebration indeed lived up to its theme of connecting students, faculty and the local community through a collaborative effort to transform lives through IT literacy.
